I just started the article by pasting in text from Unification Church. I will work on it some more and, of course, welcome anyone who wants to contribute. Steve Dufour ( talk) 19:45, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
My first idea is to make this section more concise. The ideas of "brainwashing" and "target of anti-cult movement" both belong in one sentence. Then we can think about adding material about the theological opposition, so that we're not just concentrating on the anti-cult movement.Dulcimer music 19:33, 2 January 2013 (UTC)JDefauw — Preceding unsigned comment added by JDefauw ( talk • contribs)
I've proposed merging this article and Timeline of Sun Myung Moon. The personal story of Rev. Moon and the history of the church are intertwined and there is much duplication between the two articles, both of which are secondary to the two main articles anyway. One history or timeline showing the dates of important events would probably be more useful to interested readers. Steve Dufour ( talk) 15:04, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
I took off the predictions of future church plans since, as a member, I happen to know that church sponsorship of many projects is being reduced and these events may not happen. Of course when secondary sources report this it can be added to the article. Steve Dufour ( talk) 05:16, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Note that the lead mentions controversy and criticism but this is not covered in any detail in the body of the article, despite sources being available in the footnotes. A controversy section seems appropriate given the negative attention the subject has received. Flat Out ( talk) 05:58, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
