Source validity in question

On the last line, it says the WHO declared the outbreak a pandemic on 29 June. It's 25 June as i write this. The line reads: On 29 June, the WHO declares the current monkeypox outbreak a pandemic and considers a "global emergency" designation. Is this a typo or is the source untrue? Moved to 22 June and added another source. Still seems uncertain though, someone should look more into it. ~ AntisocialRyan ( talk) 16:57, 25 June 2022 (UTC) reply
@General Bottom Text the article says the World Health Network (whoever they are) declared a pandemic. the WHO does not declare pandemics (source: internal communication at the hospital where I work). The WHO is considering declaring a public health emergency of international concern. Angiest ( talk) 17:57, 25 June 2022 (UTC) reply

The article formerly at Monkeypox has now moved to Mpox, a decision confirmed by a recent requested move discussion. There is now a requested move discussion at 2022–2023 monkeypox outbreak to move to 2022–2023 mpox outbreak. I suggest the same should apply here. Please go to the new RM discussion if you wish to contribute. Bondegezou ( talk) 11:51, 8 March 2023 (UTC) reply
