I have removed material from blp=yes that does not comply with our policy on the biographies of living persons. Biographical material must always be referenced from reliable sources, especially negative material. Negative material that does not comply with that must be immediately removed. Note that the removal does not imply that the information is either true or false.
Please do not reinsert this material unless you can provide reliable citations, and can ensure it is written in a neutral tone. Please review the relevant policies before editing in this regard. Editors should note that failure to follow this policy may result in the removal of editing privileges.-- Docg 19:38, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
In this article it states that if he came back to the NHL he would play for Calgary. I don't understand, why can't he return to the NHL. Is it that he only wants to play for calgary and they don't want him, or is he somehow having a problem reentering the NHL? He is a talented player and I find it really hard to believe the NHL would be crazy enough to not accept him (and I'm not a Calgary fan). Maybe he just doesnt want to return to the NHL but why, when the league he plays in seems much worse (standard wise)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.253.249.55 ( talk) 06:25, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
He needs to be certified by league doctors before he can play again, he's under indefinite suspension under the substance abuse program. After that happens, he can play for any team that will have him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.172.103.68 ( talk) 22:31, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Fleury did not score 1000 points during the 1989 Stanley Cup playoffs, he scored 5 Points. He scored 1088 Points during his regular season NHL career, and 79 during his NHL playoff career. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JYDK ( talk • contribs) 18:48, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
The medals table is flush right instead of centred. Is that intentional? I think it creates an ugly page. Durwoodie ( talk) 22:02, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Corrected a poorly-worded recent addition on this subject and provided a reference to the CBC rather than TSN. The mention of the Fifth Estate interview will need to be ameded, with amended references, once the interview airs on October 16. Durwoodie ( talk) 22:16, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm reviewing this article at User:Resolute's request. Because I may not have time for a full review, I'm placing my comments here rather than on the PR page, since I'm concerned that the latter approach might prevent another reviewer—one who does have time to do the whole thing properly—from helping out. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Fleury, at least when he wasn't scoring on the Oilers. My comments follow.
More to come, I hope. Steve Smith ( talk) 22:52, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

That's about all. This is close to FA-level, though I haven't gone through it enough to guarantee that I'll support it in its current state at FAC; any new issues I have then are likely to be minor, though. Steve Smith ( talk) 10:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

What distracted me about this article was the fact that they talked about his dad as being an alcoholic and his mom as being a drug addict instead of sharing more appropriate information. They also stated that Theoren described himself as a bully which I believe is irrelevant to the text. The opening paragraph states how he is an advocate for sexual abuse victims and was a recipient for the Indspire Award, yet all they can talk about was his aggression and acts of being a bully. The only comments they stated about Theoren’s background was that he is of Métis descent and his grandmother was a Cree. I feel that they could have stated more information about his heritage as it seemed to play a large role in his life. Information is retrieved from many different sources including: “Fleury attempting NHL comeback”, “A Fleury of Fury” and “Back in the Saddle”. A few of the links lead to websites where the information has been removed, which I believe should be revised. Also, there is information where the button “citation needed” is stated. However, besides a few links who no longer provide evidence, most of the references I examined were reliable sources. Most of the articles seemed to be recent, as far back as 2015. Throughout the article, I believe there is a bias put on Thereon as being aggressive, disruptive and an enforcer. Much of the article talks about his drug and alcohol addiction and how it rendered his career. Besides the overemphasis on his addiction, the article did state many positives about Theoren and how he is contributing back to society today.

1. Is each fact referenced with and appropriate, reliable reference ? A lot of the facts on Fleury's Wikipedia page are referenced to the appropriate pages. For example with all of the teams that he has played for the all have links that take you right to the teams page so that you can get information on the team. Another example is with all the national teams and awards that he has received it has links that give information on the year that it occured and some of the other specifics. One piece of information that I don't see cited is the part where it says that his annual golf tournament raised 1 million dollars to go toward the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. 2. Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? is there anything that distracted you? I think that all the information displayed on Fleury's Wikipedia page is all relevant to his life and what he has done and went through. the topics that are shown are his early life, playing career, off ice contributions, career statistics and awards. All of these topics play roles in describing who Theoren Fleury is and what he has done in hockey and outside of hockey. I don not believe that there is anything distracting about Fleury's page I think everything is relevant and is displayed very nice that flows well. 3. Is there viewpoints that are overrepresented? Are there view point underrepresented? I don't think that there are points that are overly represented over others. I do think that there is a lot of information about his life in hockey which is because that was his career. I think that there needs to be more information about his life as of now off the ice and more information about the advocacy programs that he is associated with. Theoren Fleury was a good hockey player but what he is doing now with telling his story and his involvement off the ice is what is making his name eve bigger. I think that that part of his life may be a little underrepresented and should be brought to light more Vandenbr 98 ( talk) 21:49, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Actually, sharpie, the onus is on YOU to include it. "Brandon University has issued a statement publicly criticizing former NHLer Theo Fleury for spreading harmful conspiracy theories." Thats what your source says, and thats the opinion of the university yet you wrote it as fact that he's a conspiracy theorist. Secondly, you are including a twitter argument as a source for fact. Anyone can say anything on twitter and it doesnt make fact. You are obviously NOT new to Wikipedia. Whose sockpuppet are you? You know wikipedia does not take kindly to anonymous sockpuppets. If you want to include those statements, A find a source thats not an opinion and B. find a primary source thats not twitter. Masterhatch ( talk) 18:49, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
