I read this entire article, and I still don't understand what a superintendent does, which is annoying since that's why I came here. Is a superintendent administrative or on the front line? If so, in what way is that different from an Inspector? Is it different? I don't know. I think the following paragraphs in the history section are contradictory, or at least confusing:
