On
Water heating under "Main article: Storage water heater" it says:
"In the UK these vessels are called unvented cylinders."
but the word "unvented" does not appear on this page! So this supposedly autoritative page contains less information than a supposed summary of it. Please add at least that sentence to this page.
Also on the disambiguation page "UVC" there is no mention of unvented cylinder as a possible meaning.

Storage water heater → Water heater – Per
WP:COMMONNAME and
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.
Water heater currently redirects to the article about the process,
water heating, which doesn't really make sense. Anyone searching with "water heater" is almost certainly looking for this article, rather than for
Water heating. It's true that there are other types of water heaters, like the tankless type, but those are typically qualified accordingly (
Tankless water heater redirects to
Tankless water heating), but this tank or storage type of water heater is by far the most common use of the unqualified "water heater", and is the
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of this term. Also, the redundant misnomer
Hot water heater should redirect to this article as well (currently it also redirects to
Water heating).

Oppose This strikes me as an unfortunate situation where none of the available options is really the ideal article to send a reader to when they search for 'Water heater'.
Water heating is maybe a little too general (it covers things that aren't called water heaters). But
Storage water heater is too specific - there are water heaters that aren't covered in the article (
Tankless water heaters). I think the current target (
Water heating) is the least bad option. You could argue for the creation of a broad concept
Water heater article, but I think that article would basically be
Water heating with some small cuts. Interestingly, it looks like the
Water heating article wasoriginally called 'Water heater', but was renamed pretty early in its history. Can't find any record of discussion of the move.
I'm not convinced that 'water heater' is overwhelmingly used to refer to 'storage water heaters'. It may be that when referring to a specific other kind of water heater, the term is qualified, as in 'Tankless water heater'. But don't people also use the term 'water heater' generically to refer to the whole class of devices (tanky, tankless, solar, electric, whatever)?

Interestingly, French Wikipedia does have a broad-concept water heater article at
fr:Chauffe-eau (though linked to the same Wikidata item as
en:Storage water heater). Not sure about other languages.

Support. I honestly don't see why
Water heater has to redirect to
Water heating. I think the primary topic for "Water heater" is this article, so move this article to "water heater" and have a hatnote to the article on water heating.

Oppose, as water heater commonly includes tankless. I'd rather merge the articles if people feel that the article on storage-type water heaters is a problem.
