As I understand it, in 1876 Serbia and Montenegro went to war against the Ottoman Empire. There was apparently some cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro. The Montenegrin artillery officer Mašo Vrbica is listed as being a liason to the Serbian High Command during the war. There is an article at
Montenegrin–Ottoman War (1876–1878) that doesn't mention Serbia. I think it might be better to have one article for the war, unless it really was two wars simultaneously. How does the Cambridge History treat it or them? --

I don't know how Cambridge treats them, in Serbian historiography they are known as two separate wars. I will look into it. --
