Sant Antoni de Portmany → San Antonio, Ibiza – Sant Antoni is seldom used in English-language media with the Spanish language variant (San Antonio) being widespread. Among the English-language media using San Antionio are the BBC[1], The Guardian[2] and The Daily Mail.[3] Not to mention that the Spanish variant returns more results (San Antonio Ibiza: 217,000,000 compared to Sant Antoni Ibiza: 6,600,000), plus the Spanish variant is usually used in the travel industry.

Oppose - unlike
Talk:Xàbia this one isn't even divided. Lonely Planet, Frommers, Michelin etc, all the modern guidebooks have the Catalan name Sant Antoni de Portmany, the Spanish name "San Antonio de Abad" gets not much more than a mention in an old Fodor's, "San Antonio, Ibiza" pulls up a few more.

Oppose. (
edit conflict) Acceding the argument by In ictu oculi above I also have a sensitivity towards the Catalan nationalist movement which is strong in Ibiza and their struggle for supremacy of the Catalan language. I think many tourists to this region (as I have been) have been impressed by this ethnic pride. __
