This article is a long time coming. First of all, the only reference to placement for students with special needs was a special school, which is nothing near what a resource room is. A resource room is a program placement for a student identified with special needs who receives special education via direct instruction. It is delivered to a student within a typical school. Hence the Least Restrictive Environment clause of IDEA. That is, the student with special needs receives services such as special instruction for reading by a special education teacher and afterwards goes to a math class with his/her peers. This is a far cry from a special school, of which all students have special needs and mainstreaming is not implemented. So the rationale I see for deletion is that it is too short. I can add to it. I've created the article with two sources, and can add more. The other reason is that it belongs with special school. Anyone who knows about special education law will know this is not true, and it comes with no surprise that this person a self-described "deletioner" is a WP newbie. I weep for the future.

I have just tagged this article to be globalized. It is currently written from an exclusively American perspective. Please try to introduce material from and about the existence and use of resource rooms in countries.
