Criticisms
In the video, Rihanna is holding a Chinese broad sword in the video while Chris Martin is holding the samurai sword, which is also a type a Japanese sword. Expect for the Japanese elements, there is also Hindu hand dancing in the video. I don't why someone else took it down, though. — Preceding

The single cover
Hello, I have found the single cover proving that this is a single. It is from Coldplay's website, so it is very official

The article it's in [

Thanks,
I don't think this song is a single yet since Coldplay's site didn't report any single released after the release of their album. On their "recordings" section (
[3]), "Princess of China" isn't listed as single. "Princess of China" get on the "UK Official Singles Chart" as a song from the album Mylo Xyloto, not as a single. Thanks. Kenrick Talk 08:44, 6 November 2011 (UTC)reply
It isn't listed as a single because it charted on the UK Singles Chart (All charts are made up of singles and songs, not just singles), Billboard magazine confirmed it as the single.

Even the "Oracle" from Coldplay.com has confirmed that it is not yet been released as a single.

We don't use singers or bands websites as sources. Billboard is a very reliable source.

Well, now a radio add date has been set (14 February 2012:

excuse me, but with no offence, do you know anything about music? why the hell did you call this song an Alternative Hip Hop? where's the hip hop part of the song? can you point it out? i saw two of the writers were fighting over this and i saw one of them finally gave up, i think it's time to bring this up and talk about this, cause that Alternative hip hop you added in the genre is completely ridiculous. this song is completely a Pop song. in other hand it's an Alternative. and the most hideous thing i've ever seen in my life was that R&B. where did you get that from? but seriously we can deal with the R&B one but not with Alternative Hip Hop. Reza(Let'sTalk) 13:15, 7 December 2011 (UTC)reply
Reza is right, but there is a part of Rihanna in the song that I can definitely call it R&B. This song is a Pop song and Electro, which features elements of R&B.

Thanks for writing your concern here first. But I think the pair of you are unaware that genres included in the info box are what critics have called the song specifically. Thus, it is staying.

seriously, it's stupid, you should find a hip hop part then call it a Alternative Hip Hop, yes, it's kinda R&B but it's never an Alternative Hip Hop. critics are sometimes wrong about what they say, it's their idea about the song, they're not in position to decide about genres. for example, as the critics said,
Paradise (Coldplay song) song is an Electro rock and R&B, which that R&B one made me laugh for an hour. and what happened, the song got a nomination in Best Pop category in
54th Grammy Awards. or another one was
Loud (Rihanna album) which critic called it a dance-pop album and again it received a nomination in Best Pop album category. so don't follow what critics say. you have a brain which is the most powerful part of your body and can compare two different things. if you can point the hip hop part of the song, then we're all with you and gonna accept it but if you can't it should remove from the page immediately. with no offence, you're getting your knowledge about music under a BIG question mark for the readers, whom ask themselves, who wrote this article? does he/she know anything about music? if you know 123 of music you won't call it Alternative Hip Hop no matter what critics say. don't get me wrong but I'm just here to help and improve this articles. Reza(Let'sTalk) 23:15, 7 December 2011 (UTC)reply
It's not stupid. That's what critics have called it. It's in the info box. End of.

seriously, after all i've said you got back from where you started?... ok, it's not your decision to say it stays or not. other editors should come and talk about this and in the end we decide that it stay or not. Reza(Let'sTalk) 01:53, 8 December 2011 (UTC)reply
What an established music websites says > your opinion of what a song is, or isn't. It's sourced? Yes, so it stays. -

As stated above, if it is sourced, it stays. End of discussion. You need to learn the basic rules of Wikipedia.

LMAO. and i think you need to learn the basic step of music. I don't know what would you do if a critic called this song as an Alternative Ass. would you indicate it in the article? seriously, you need to learn the basic step of music cause you don't know any. Reza(Let'sTalk) 10:42, 8 December 2011 (UTC)reply
C'mon now, don't get immature and pathetic. Wikipedia is not about what I think, it's about the rules and what is expected. End of discussion.

Promotional Single cover
Just to clarify my recent edit, I replaced the header image with the official promotional single artwork. The official artwork can be found here in an
email to Capitol Records email subscribers that was released by Allaccess.com aswell. The image itself appears when you click on "Download", I can't post the link directly on here, since it is an actual download.

Official coverarts
Now, we know that both the single and promo arts are allowed to share the same place as long as they are official. A second artwork from from an official promotional single is allowed. A second artwork from a different official issue of a single/album is allowed. A second artwork from an different official regional release of a single/artwork is allowed.
Want proof? The one you Unanimous removed off the Mylo Xyloto page is one. I've already given examples of
Waiting for the End and
Eat It in the edit summaries. Additionally, i'd think you'd have a heart attack on these two:
In Through the Out Door and
Voyager: Sounds of the Cosmos. how about legendary albums?
The Wall?,
The Dark Side of the Moon? Unless you can prove to me that there is a rule on wikipedia that states these cannot be allowed, there is absolutely no reason to remove the coverart of the official Promotional release.

Please read
this. More clear? Btw all the examples that you gave me are not Good or Featured articles, meaning if they came into the process only the standard cover will stay; if there is not enough critical observation of the others. Talk That Talk was released in two editions with two totally different covers. It was so hard to convince other editors for keeping both of covers, even though they received critical coverage. On "Princess of China", both artworks are pretty the same, why keeping both when we can keep only the official and not the promo? —
Tomica(talk) 18:53, 11 April 2012 (UTC)reply
It's not even a legit cover. It's cropped from its radio release poster. —
