Article Moved
Requested move
Primera División Argentina 2008–09 →
2008-09 in Argentine football — This was the original name of the article. It was moved for no good reason. While the majority of the article covers the Primera Division, it features the results of the Argentine national team and will also feature the winner of the lower divisions as per the example of previous years. —

As the creator of the 2008-09 in Argentine football article, and the user that makes the most effort to update the page as much as possible, I believe that
Giggs for Temporary (
talk) has disrespected everybody by not discussing the move and just doing what ever he felt like doing, plus as mention above there is already an article
Primera División Argentina 2008-09 that could be confuse with this one and the fact that there are several other articles beginning from 1891 to 2008 in Argentine football, it make more sense that the article should continue on the same line as the previous years, instead of a page with a name (Primera División Argentina 2008–09) that has no history in itself.

My disputed move
I must apologize to all of you that I made that move. Before I move that article, I had not mention that there is an article about the league season. Since I found that article, I could do nothing at all because it is very complicated to move back to suitable places. I felt sorry for making trouble to the related contributors. Sorry.

Merge
Things are getting out of hand, Apertura 2008 was recorded in three seperate articles.
I propose that the latter two be merged in order to save maintenence effort which could be better invested in improving the quality of the season overview articles with information like lower league tables, international results, international tournaments hosted in Argentina, better narrative, etc rather than pointlessly maintaining the same info in 3 locations. Any opinions?

There is a lot that could be done to keep the articles on Argentine football from going crazy. I wouldn't mind the merge; keep everything in one season of the division on one article. We could also start using the Fb templates, such as
this. The article(s) on the entire season in Argentina football can be simpler, such as just who won each tournament and who was relegated (sorta like the relegation and promotion section of
this article), plus the results of the national team, personnel changes, clubs in intl tourneys.

Agree, 1 overview article and one article per tournament season (A+C), as per my comment
here. Regards
