Hello. This is just an extended note to explain why I have reverted the modifications made by anonymous user 2A02:C7F:5A84:1200:591C:7E22:30C6:A81B to Maddock's birth month and location. It may be that the user genuinely is his daughter, as claimed in the edit summaries, but for inclusion in Wikipedia we need data to be verifiable to an external reliable source. Data included because of personal knowledge, even that of family members, is considered original research, and isn't suitable for inclusion. As it stands, the birth date and place information is sourced to the normally highly reliable website OldRacingCars.com, which is run by Allen Brown (who contributes to Wikipedia as user Allenbrown). I'd encourage the anonymous user to get in touch with Allen, either here or through ORC, to correct Owen's entry there. This change can then be migrated through to Wikipedia. Apologies for coming off as a bit officious, but Wikipedia and its editors are poorly placed to judge the veracity of this sort of claim. Regards to all. Pyrop e 16:35, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I will draw this to Richard Jenkins' attention so he can double-check. Allen Brown ( talk) 14:07, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
