I dont think that "Rocket Boys" should be merged with "October Sky". One is about the book, the other is about the movie. Having seperate articles for each seems to be standard practice on Wikipedia. - Fadookie 04:33, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
I just reverted an suspicous change that said the last launch was dedicated to his teacher, changed from father. If this was wrong please make the edit again and comment on this talk page. Orangutan 14:04, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
In the movie (in which this article is about, not the book), the rocket is emblazoned with the words "Miss Riley". Doesn't this mean that the rocket is dedicated to her as she was dying or something? Homer does let his father push the button, but does that constitute as "dedication"?—Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
I have a copy of the book that looks alot like the cover of the DVD cover. I know how to upload pictures off the Internet, but how do you go about uploading pictures that you have taken? What tag do you use?-- Chi l i14( C| @| T) 20:56, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
there is absolutely nothing in the article about the rocket process or plot. Urgent work needed. 71.102.160.34 05:04, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Anybody remember a similar book, in print in the '70s? Trekphiler 08:26, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Image:Octoberskymovieposter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

In the Infobox, the "Based on" line has October Sky, yet in the movie credits it states/gives the original book title of "Rocket Boys" as to what the movie is based on.
Since the movie has Rocket Boys, shouldn't that be in the "Based on" line either in place of October Sky or before it?
