Are there really four?
I've done several bits of tweaking to this article. First, as noted under 'Platforms', I've changed the number of platforms in the sidebox to 2, the true number. Second, I've added the information that it is a London Underground station with a link to that article, rather than merely a 'tube station', although who on earth would look up Northwood Hills tube station and not know what the tube is I have no idea. In addition, I've clarified the information on services: previously it was just that it was mainly served by trains to Watford and slow Amersham and Chesham trains, which don't stop between H-on-the-Hill and Moor Park. I've clarified the wording of that existing section slightly and added a bit on the terminus stations of the southbound services. I've also added the general off-peak service frequency. The additions in this section are based on my own experience of using the line and the ten minute figure (which regular users of the Met line will know is variably honoured both in the breach and the observance) comes from TfL's timetables on their website. To top it off, I've changed the reference of all existing and new links which refer to tube stations to the actual station pages rather than the local-area ones (so Harrow_on_the_Hill has become Harrow_on_the_Hill_tube_station), which I believe is better for this page - tube station pages generally have links to area pages in any case.
Also, can anyone confirm where the information on the name competition comes from? I'd be interested in knowing as I've never heard of it before. - Killyleagh 05:35, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
I've now added a small paragraph on the stations hours of operation - only London-bound trains so far covered as I don't have the information for the other direction at the moment. Sadly TfL doesn't distribute printed timetables even for the Metropolitan line - the only way to get at them is to look at the posters at the station itself. I'll expand it for Watford/Amersham services when I get the chance.
Comments on the usefulness of the paragraph welcome. Dechiphermentalist 23:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
