It would be nice to put up the history of Monofilament lines.
I am currently researching this on my spare time. Maybe someone can help? Joel M.

I seem to remember reading that this makes an extremely effective garrotte, any truth to this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by UltraMagnus ( talk • contribs) 11:16, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
This article was recorded in 2006-2-27, since then, a lot of changes has occurred. Someone want's rerecord the article? It's my voice currently on the spoken article. Since I have an accent, it might be better if someone with less accent makes the recording... -- Joel M. ( talk) 23:05, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

I agree the photograph of the bird raped in fishing line is inappropriate to represent the article (the first top image), but it was not in this case. The image was illustrating the the section (as of this writing the section does not have a header but will be added soon) related to Monofilament fishing lines and the environment. That said, the section speaks of animales being entangled in the line and the image depicted such situation. What do you think about adding the image back to the section and finding other images to show what Monofilament lines look like for the top of the article? -- Joel M. The picture's description says "A bird entangled in monofilament line." It is however pretty unclear from the picture whether or not the bird is actually entangled. It could be, but the way the fibres are shown, it could very well be able to simply fly away from it.
If this is the worst picture of the problem, the problem might not even exist. If the problem does exist, the picture is not representative. The picture should go, whether or not there is a replacement. Better no visual representation than a misleading one. 91.10.35.85 ( talk) 00:06, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
