Oppose - Keep it more consistent with previous model names instead to maintain the naming history (W09 EQ Power+, W10 EQ Power+, W11 EQ Performance). Also, had this article been renamed, all previous Mercedes F1 models (from the W01 to the W11) had to be renamed as well. HansenSebastianTalk 15:54, 1 August 2021 (UTC)reply

Support Per nom, COMMONNAME and CONCISION. In addition, I’ve tried to make sense of opposing argument… nada. Each model should adhere to COMMONNAME, period. Consistency, like concision, carries more weight when there is no clear common name. In fact, the other part of the Oppose argument is weak precisely because unless the more concise name is also the COMMONNAME for any of the other models, they should not be moved. I urge the closer to discount opposition argument accordingly. —

Support per nom and B2C. Consistency is only something which should be considered when there is not a clear common name (and indeed conciseness should also be considered before consistency, which also favours this proposal). I don't agree that if this article is renamed then all previous models need to be renamed. It may well be that some/all of those other articles should be renamed for similar reasons here, if the existing titles are not the common names, but that is not under consideration here.

Oppose - Whilst the Chassis is listed as W12 on f1.com, the entire car is listed as F1 W12 E Performance on

LeoSWarren: What it is called on the official Mercedes F1 team website isn't relevant. Please read
WP:OFFICIALNAME. The only situation where we should use the official name is where that is also the
common name, which no-one has provided any evidence for. Also a note to the closer and other editors that this is this LeoSWarren's first ever edit on Wikipedia (not that I'm suggesting anything is wrong with that).
