Could somebody who speaks Hindi or is with Manna Dey's work fix up the discography section? It's really chaotic right now, and it's difficult to tell which are albums and which are songs. RedRollerskate 17:37, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Just a few basic copyedits to improve the overall quality of the article.
Replace: "Prabodh Chandra Dey (1 May 1919[1] better known by his nickname Manna Dey, is a playback singer in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Assamese films and has also sung songs in Indian languages of Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Magahdh, Punjabi, Maithilee, Konkani, Sindhri and Chattisgarghi. He made his debut as playback singer in the film Tamanna in 1942. He has recorded more than 4000 songs from 1942-2013 and his peak period in singing Hindi film songs is considered from 1953-1976."

Jehochman removed the Template:refimprove tag from the article. I diagree with this. The article has the exact problems which refimprove discusses. The biography is overlong, and has very few inline references. It would be worth seeing what obituary writers consider to be the important parts of the story of Dey's life, and trim and reference the biography accordingly. -- LukeSurl t c 15:34, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
