Foo fighters:
Velvet revolver:
Boss battles:
While it would be nice, there is no confirmed cheat code that I have seen that allows the boss battles to be unlocked for multiplayer or quick play. The DLC rumors of a Boss Battle pack lead me to believe that they just aren't going to be unlockable without downloading content online. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.208.168.197 ( talk) 17:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
yep, whoever put that is clearly in denial. boss battles will have to be purchased in DLC to single play/training them Jovack 18:36, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Why is this even in here? Helicopter doesn't need to be censored; the only questionable word it says is "bastard," which is definitely said in PG-13 movies (the equivalent of a 'T' rating for games) and I believe in PG movies as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.112.3.89 ( talk) 03:03, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
I think we should just leave it blank. It seems a little silly to include a line about a specific song not being censored. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.112.3.89 ( talk) 05:51, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
There has been a high level of user vandalism thanks to Markmw ( Talk | contribs) on the article page. As of now, I have made a request for temporary full protection. Hope this helps. lightsup55 16:26, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Where is it censored? I have looked at the lyrics and listened to the song, and the only thing I can find is where it says "gotcha with the cocaine they found with your gun", but there is already another version with different lyrics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.209.4.247 ( talk) 00:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
I think that future downloadable content songs may be, being hinted at in the soon to be released faceplates for the les paul guitar hero III controllers. The ones listed at Best Buy are Kiss, Korn, Fall Out Boy, Motley Crue, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice Cooper, and Panic! At The Disco. Kiss, Smashing Pumpkins and Alice Cooper all have songs in the game. Motley Crue has had songs in the game in the past. Fall Out Boy is in Rock Band and both games share a lot of artists. Of course this is only pure speculation but i would think that Activision wouldn't produce random band faceplates if they weren't involved in the game. Anyone else think so? " Even Flow" is clearly censored. In the actual song, right before the first guitar solo, Eddie Vedder says "Fuck it up". On the Guitar Hero version, "fuck" is muted out, so all you hear is "...it up". I believe this is censorship and it should be under the list of censored songs for GH3. The only reason people sometimes blow it off is because no one can really understand what Vedder is saying due to his low, guttural voice. Trust me, Pearl Jam is my one of my favorite bands and I know all their lyrics. I also know what I heard when playing it on GH3. If you don't believe me, look up the lyrics for "Even Flow" and listen closely next time you play it on GH3. Doodoobutter 16:09, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
As GH3 now includes the year in which the original version of the song was recorded (or year of the master track, for that matter), can it be included along with the song names, too? Or could it be considered needless information? 200.231.177.20 19:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, regardless, it still says 68 in the game. I'll get to working on this. The one and only:Zanny77 ( talk) 22:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
As I looked through this page to see if everything was OK with grammar, punctuation and so on, I suddenly saw a song by metalcore band Atreyu - The Crimson - included in the "Censoring" section, but the song isn't even in the game! Is there just some common user who just adds one of his/her favorite songs to the setlist for fun, or is it really confirmed for DLC? Just want to check... Oh, and by the way, shouldn't Raining Blood by Slayer be noted as an instrumental song? I've played through the song several times, and never heard any lyrics. A Powerful Weakness ( talk) 18:51, 27 November 2007 (UTC) A Powerful Weakness
Is there a way to somehow unlock this song to play it?? I mean, not in a Boss Battle, in quick play mode, for example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.201.66.155 ( talk) 13:46, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Some jackass took "Slow Ride" off and put "Dick WEED" and took "Paranoid" of and put "Suck my Dick MOTHERFUCKER". Could someone please fix that evrytime I do he changes it back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.187.103 ( talk) 21:43, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

"A Warner/Reprise Track Pack includes master recordings of “No More Sorrow,” from Linkin Park, “Sleeping Giant,” by Mastadon and “Pretty Handsome Awkward” by the Used. Fans of European bands can download individual tracks “So Payaso,” by Extremoduro, “Antisocial,” from Trust and “Ernten Was Wir Saen” by Die Fantastichen Vier....As a special holiday bonus, an exclusive rock rendition of “We Three Kings” performed by Steve Ouimette will be available at no cost."
No release date, aside from a "next month" guideline.
Thought I'd let you all know.

It isn't censored, just an alternative version. I still don't see why they couldn't use the original just because its says cocaine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.209.4.247 ( talk) 20:09, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
This change was recently made at List of songs in Rock Band and I think the same argument applies here. Not only is this whole section original research and unsourced, it's also fairly irrelevant and indiscriminate. I propose the same solution that was done on the Rock Band page, mark censored songs with asterisks or similar. Oren0 ( talk) 05:28, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
I removed the section. As I said in my edit summary, all of the info in this section (except for the album cover thing, which is both unsourced and trivial) is already noted on the songs above. This section is unnecessary. As for the note about waiting for an admin's opinion that someone left on the page, Administrators don't have any more say than anyone else as to the content of articles (see WP:ANOT). If anyone has a reason that the section should stay, we can discuss it here. Oren0 ( talk) 05:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
About a couple of months ago(Shortly after Rocks the 80's)when the first footage of the game was currently introduced, there were 2 songs that were introduced. I think a Fall Out Boy song was being played as one the songs. I know both of them were on YouTube. I looked up Guitar Hero 3 on it before the game came out. The venue is the desert rock tour. Can someone look this up and respond if this is true, and should it be up in the main article? Neon6419 ( talk) 23:19, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
http://www.guitarhero.com/leaderboards I see " Peace of Mind", " Any Way You Want It", and " Juke Box Hero". Should we add this to the DLC section? Demoman87 ( talk) 16:31, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Im not quite sure that Raining Blood should be listed as shortened. Alot of the time, Slayer will play this song live, and start at the same point that the song does in the game. However, it is a master track, so technically it is shortened from that. any opinions? the juggreserection IstKrieg! 16:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
On the mp3 I have, there's a slightly extended intro.
Also, I will remove Holiday in Cambodia's "given a new intro" entry as there are two versions of the mp3, much like Raining Blood. I believe the version covered in GH3 came first, then was released without an intro later on. TwilightWeapon ( talk) 04:59, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
