Really interesting & curious... Article is long and new enough, well-referenced (remarkable for this obscure topic), tone is sharp and neutral. Great job, Applodion. AGF on the Yu & Shenghua work (can only find snippets online). P.S. Would be great if you could include the dude's name in Chinese characters (I'd be impressed if there wasn't a zh.wiki entry on him!)
