The original caption for the article's current image was: Clarke after scoring all 4 goals for Sheffield United in the 4–1 win against Hull City in 2017
I think that's quite a good effort to be honest as it provides all the context needed, but this was then chopped down to just Clarke in 2017 by an IP address edit. Looking at the IP address's other edits, it seems they may be a Hull City fan.
It has now been bumped back up to Clarke in 2017 after scoring 4 against Hull City which to be honest I think is the worst of the three, it manages to take a dig at Hull without even mentioning who he was playing for!
I was going to change it back to something very similar to the first, but I can see how annoying it would be to be reminded of your team's 4-1 defeat every time you click on a random Wikipedia article. Perhaps we can provide context without mentioning Hull City?
How about: Clarke in 2017, after scoring all four goals for Sheffield United in a 4–1 victory or even something like: Clarke in 2017, after becoming the first Sheffield United player to score four goals in a game since Keith Edwards in 1983
Grateful for any feedback! :) Nonleagueapps ( talk) 20:07, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
