A news item involving John Cole (journalist) was featured on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the In the news section on 9 November 2013.
Wikipedia
"He correctly forecast Margaret Thatcher's resignation as Prime Minister in 1990"
It needs to be mentioned precisely when Cole did this. I've just watched (on YouTube) a clip of BBC News just after Geoffrey Howe resigned, and at that point Cole still thought Thatcher's losing the leadership election was "improbable".

The BBC article to which this refers doesn't appear to back this up, unless you count Denis Thatcher's assertion that all BBC journalists are Trotskyists.
