WHy isn't there any inclusion of Jim Broadbent's participation in 'Saturday Night Fry' with Stephen Fry? MisterQuickly 20:20, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
Why is there no mention of Jim Broadbent's hilarious 1992 short film, "A Sense of History"? Please see http://www.broadbent.org/jim_broadbent/films/sense_of_history.htm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hwalped ( talk • contribs) 04:45, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Because no-one's added it yet: go for it. That's how Wikipedia works: you do it yourself. Pollythewasp ( talk) 10:03, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Do any Wikipedians know whether Jim Broadbent is related to the film producer Graham? I haven't been able to find any evidence either way. If anyone finds any it might be good to include a reference to any relationship in the entries for both Jim and Graham - even if it's just to say that they're not related. Thanks!

Both the Career section and the Filmography claim that Broadbent had his film debut in Porridge in 1978. I have just changed the link in both cases from Porridge (the oatmeal foodstuff) to Porridge (film). However, there's something still not right, as the film was released in 1979. Was he in actually not in the film, but in Porridge (TV series)? – although, if so, the last series of that was broadcast in 1977. I've failed to find evidence either way, so over to somebody else. Why is the fact that he declined the award of Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2002 been repeatedly deleted from his entry? This deletion is extremely rude!
The source for the note that he was atheist came from this link (( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/3668118/Jim-Broadbent-the-heartbreak-kid.html)) but it seems quite irrelevant given that it was a comment made in passing. Does every biography note that the person is theist, atheist, agnostic, or some combination thereof? Doubtful. When notable, it should be noted; when non-notable, it seems irrelevant. Cleopatran Apocalypse ( talk) 19:48, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Presumably he is still alive; although the opening paragraph makes use of the past perfect tense in places, e.g. "He received ..." not "He has received ...". In any event, the sudden switch in tense detracts meaning from the opening paragraph.

Very good article, but needs References in the Career section. -- BSTemple ( talk) 21:10, 26 March 2009 (UTC) |

According to imdb, Jim Broadbent plays Archmaester Ebrose, not Marwyn. 2003:79:CF2F:3600:61B5:F0EA:E110:9292 ( talk) 10:14, 17 July 2017 (UTC) Liza [1]
Where was Jim Broadbent born? 1. Holton Cum Beckering, Lincolnshire or 2. Wallsend, (now Tyne & Wear) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leia Sakura ( talk • contribs) 02:30, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
I would be grateful if someone can add Black 47 which stars Jim Broadbent to the 2018 in Film Wikipedia article. I had made a semi edit request on the talk page but there still has been no response to it. You can find the request and the details here — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.0.113.197 ( talk) 16:00, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
