Kanye West may wear jeans jackets, and that jacket may be by Levi, but it's leather and by definition can't be a jean jacket, even if it' similar construction. The defining thing is that they are made of denim. I'm deleting the image as misleading and possible product placement. Stub Mandrel ( talk) 09:27, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
There's a painting dating from the 17th century called "Beggar Boy with a Piece of Pie" that shows a street urchin wearing a jean jacket. I was wondering if someone could upload that to Wikimedia and add it, since it's the earliest known recorded example of a jean jacket. ForestAngel ( talk) 02:05, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
