This page should not be speedy deleted because Finney created first RPOW system prior to Bitcoin; added to article. --

Cypherpunk?
Surely this term is too obscure to use for purposes of disambigution. Would "computer scientist" or something similar not be preferable?

Y Done. I just moved the article to "Hal Finney (computer scientist)". Although it was a little old, there was no opposition to the suggestion here in talk, and I agree that the disambiguator "cypherpunk" was far too obscure and narrow a facet of this person's life. -

Contradiction Between Infobox and Article Re: Graduation Date
The infobox states he received his BS in 1979, the article states 1981. Which is it?

1979 is correct (verified from the Caltech Alumni Directory). I corrected the page. — Preceding

Given his age, it should have been 1978. If I remember, from so many years, he didn't graduate on time, not satisfying the PE requirement. Maybe someone else knows this.

I just noticed that Hal is the first on the list of possibilities for the believe to be fictional
Satoshi Nakamoto. Should that be mentioned here?
