Should we mention it was called the G2? Mathiastck ( talk) 07:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

I was in a T-mobile store last week to buy a new phone and didn't see this. The sales person didn't mention it. Is T-mobile selling this phone? 67.52.10.186 ( talk) 07:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
They are selling it. It came out on August 5th. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MadFoxInABox ( talk • contribs) 17:38, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
There are two hardware revisions - they are described in the article.
The problem is that figuring out which models use the 32A hardware (better) and which use 32B is getting ever more difficult. If we could confirm this information it would be good to add to the article. The distinction is important because only the 32A has been confirmed to be getting the Android 2 update (so far).
32A HTC Magic (more RAM) - Vodophone HTC Magic - HTC Magic as sold by Rogers in Canaa
32B Google phone - Original T-Mobile myTouch.
Not sure about these two? - T-Mobile myTouch Fender Edition? - T-Mobile myTouch v1.2?
Does it have a proximity sensor (as it is mentioned in the hardware profile)? My 32A doesn't. Mgiann ( talk) 10:10, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
The link does not confirm the statement in the article. Can someone confirm this? CoNaan ( talk) 09:09, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Don't know about other countries, but in Germany the Vodafone provider exclusivity does not mean you have to have a contract with Vodafone in order to get the Magic. You just can't buy the phone anywhere else than in a Vodafone store or on their web site. The device itself works fine with any SIM card.
