Grace Bumbry isn't only the biggest singer of all times. She's also the most important opera actress and the most specialised voice teacher. Once in the eighties i was listening portuguese classical radio and someone was singing "Io son L'umile Ancella" and i was atonished. It was the most spectacular human sound i have ever heared and the most refined tecnhique i could immagine or realize. years later i met Her and it was like to meet a queen, better a godess, a fairy... She's really the most wonderfull human being i've ever met. nobody in this world knows about vocal technique more than she knows. nobody is so refined so perfect. joão costa campos Portugal

"Bronze-hued"???
Oh, come on. How about just the facts, written with a general readership in mind, please?
This article reads as if it were taken from publicity material for the artist.

Well, gentlemen, congratulations in managing to be abrasive, stuck up, and rude.
The original comment is indeed very subjective - but this is the "talk" section, it's not like that person tried to add his testimonial to the actual Wikipedia entry. Presumably that person mistook this place for a general forum. Regardless, it was a heartfelt testimonial (and not publicity). Does it belong in the actual Wikipedia article? Of course it doesn't. Does it belong here? Strictly speaking, it might not. Does it warrant this level of hostility, especially as evidenced by the "my foot" commentator? If it does, I'm not sure I want to continue checking on Wikipedia. -- Peter Pears — Preceding
