Are you serious? Because it's unencyclopedic and trivial. NOTNEWS.

Drmies Yes, I'm serious. Businesses responded to the pandemic differently. Some closed their doors altogether, others used outdoor seating or created drive-through operations. In this case, the store essentially operated as a
take-out window and closed off indoor seating. If you or others feel strongly about removing, fine, I just see this as a minor detail about how a company operated during a global event. ---

I see this as so minor that it looks like filler to me.

Ok, agree to disagree. Sorry, I didn't realize I
added the text back accidentally. We must have been editing at the same time and I'm not sure how that didn't result in an edit conflict. Anyways, I'd leave the operational detail, but if you feel strongly about removing, feel free. Another option is we let another editor offer a third opinion, since I've nominated the article for Good status and a review is imminent. Thanks! ---

@
ThadeusOfNazereth: With
this edit, you've changed the text to say some outlets "have all drawn a contrast between Ghost Alley Espresso and the Original Starbucks". This is true, but more specifically, they've recommended readers to visit Ghost Alley instead of Starbucks. Isn't that worth noting? @
Bri: Putting this on your radar since you added the Infatuation source. Thanks! ---

Yeah, that's probably worth noting, I just couldn't figure out a way to do so while preserving the flow of the sentence. Feel free to rephrase! ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 16:06, 31 October 2022 (UTC)reply
@
ThadeusOfNazereth I've
changed the text to say these three outlets "have all encouraged readers to visit Ghost Alley Espresso instead of the Original Starbucks". Please let me know if this does not work for you. Thanks again! ---

Hmm, yes, that does seem important. I'd like it to tie back to the history of the market itself -- i.e. that Starbucks was a relative newcomer to Pike Place Market in the 1970s (and the title "original" is kind of bogus) and the writers are suggesting greater authenticity can be found elsewhere; what could be more authentic Pike Place than a former service room adjacent to the
Gum Wall (the last fact missing from the article btw). ☆ Bri (

@
Bri You're more than welcome to update the article text. I don't have any strong feelings here, I just wanted to somehow communicate the preference for GAE by select outlets. ---

Done. I found another source, KUOW reporter Laura Wagner on NPR's "The Two-Way"
[1] that sorta links GAE and the gum wall. Also

This came out
#2 on this list at Stacker via MSN. I'm not adding it at this time; not sure how to describe the list's methodology. ☆ Bri (
