Article issues
I was asked to explain by
User:Superjurek why this needs improvement and/or may be deleted:
First, please read
WP:NORG and try to justify here which criteria it meets. In my experience, very few university departments are notable enough to merit a stand-alone article.
second, while this is not related to deletion, "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement." Language like "Having maintained the position of the nationwide leader in political science teaching" is not acceptable on Wikipedia.
third, you wrote on my talk page in Polish using 'we' pronoun. If you represent an organization, please read
WP:COI and disclose such an association. Please
WP:ECHO me here if you reply and wish to continue this discussion. Thank you, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus|

Piotrus: Thanks for deep explanations. I will do what I can to make this article better and enough correct to avoid deletion. However it could be about 3-5 days, because I do it together with my faculty's team. Best Regards

Superjurek: Take your time. As a fellow academic I would like to see such articles improved, but the problem is that Wikipedia guidelines like
WP:NORG and
WP:PROF don't make exceptions of academics). And the fact remains that very few departments have been the subject of independent, secondary analysis. (Also:
WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, there's plenty of problematic articles to prune. Also on pl wiki, see
pl:Wikipedia:Poczekalnia/artykuły/2020:07:26:Wydział Turystyki i Rekreacji Akademii Wychowania Fizycznego Józefa Piłsudskiego w Warszawie). In the end, Wikipedia is not a catalog of organizations or their subunits, and is not a platform for advertising. If we want a department to be in an encyclopedia, perhaps the faculty should first co-author and publish a book or at least a peer-reviewed article about the history and significance of said department? PS. If you think Wikipedia's criteria are not fair to academics and academic organizations I agree. This is often being debatet at
WT:PROF and such, and I invite you to joint he discussions there. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus|
