Image:Dukegijoe.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:28, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Is it really noteable Sigma Six Duke had a similar haircut to Duke Nukem? Lots42 10:21, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Should mention be made more in this article about Duke's relationship with Scarlett?
Also, it is mentioned in here that he is related to Lt. Falcon, which is the case in the animated series. Was this ever shown in any of the Marvel Comics? I do not recall it being brought up in the DDP issues. Sgetz ( talk) 22:39, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
The current picture, while awesome, should be replaced with one showcasing Duke's classic tan and green uniform. That is how he is most recognized. Lots42 ( talk) 16:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Is the captain/major rank thing so noteable? After all, the movie does take place in the future. Maybe rank insignia changed. Lots42 ( talk) 12:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
I just watched the movie and it was very noticable to me. I saw the possible explanation on the board trying to explain the difference between Army captain and Navy captain. This cannot be the case those, as even if Duke was a Navy captain, the gold oak leaf (Army major) is a lt. commander in the Navy. Mrdavidjb 4:01, 5 November 2009 (EST)
Duke is an Army Major (he wears an Army Uniform!) during the time four years earlier. Possible he lost his rank and it was reduced to Captain after the Mission failed and his almost-brother-in-law died (officially). SpencerHill ( talk) 20:54, 5 September 2015
I don't think it's fair to have removed all the sections of fictional history for lacking sources, when all they needed was primary sources anyways. That sort of section doesn't have the level of proof required by real-world facts. They should have probably just have been tagged as needing sources, not boldly deleted. Anyone agree? Disagree? "He is fluent in French and German"... Is it really Wikipedia Policy to only state "foreign" languages when explicitly talking about fluency? I know it is implied by his US citizenship that he "of course" will be able to speak English, but nonetheless in a sentence about language proficiencies the mother tongue should be included as well as any other abilities, shouldn't it?-- 92.50.94.35 ( talk) 22:49, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
I removed the 2nd infobox shown here:
Infobox G.I. Joe character | name = Duke | image = Gijoe-bw-poster-duke-med-sized.jpg | caption = Channing Tatum as Duke in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra | affiliation = G.I. Joe | function = Soldier | realname = Conrad Hauser | birthplace = | serial = 234-55-GI89 | rank = Captain (O-3) | primaryMOS = | secondaryMOS = | subgroup = | series = G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra | voiceby = Roger Craig Smith (video game) | actor = Channing Tatum | debut = 2009 }}
Can any information be salvaged from this, though? One example: I notice there's a discrepancy between his listed rank here and in the primary infobox. Doniasis ( talk) 02:20, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
