Huh, ROCKMANX stole my sig... Or something. Some of his edits are confusing me. – Tifego (t) 21:28, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

I keep seeing RockmanX make a bunch of edits with no description [1] [2], followed by McPhail making one (relatively) large edit with something like "(cleanup)" as the description [3] [4], and both undoing each other's edits repeatedly (albeit slowly) in this manner. They really ought to start discussing this on this talk page instead of just reverting back and forth like this. – Tifego (t) 04:49, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I didn't realise it was an edit war. Singh has been in one film; this is not enough to identify him as an actor. Singh is from Himachal Pradesh, not Punjab (India). McPhail 14:38, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, it wasn't exactly an "edit war" but it was starting to turn into one, it's hard to find the useful edits being made among the back-and-forth. Your points sound reasonable, what about his height though? It is fluctuating between 7 ft 1, 7 ft 2, and 7 ft 3 in the article. – Tifego (t) 18:38, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Even formal news sources are equally inconsistent. Given the propensity of both Hollywood and the wrestling industry to exaggerate physical attributes, the smallest figures are probably the closest to the mark. Of course, he may have medical conditions that cause his height to fluctuate. McPhail 19:27, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

We just need to wait until he has an eye to eye with the Big Show, if we all agree Show is 7ft, then we'll get a good guestimate from that. In the segment with Davari tho, it looked to me like he was wearing lifts.( Halbared 11:35, 15 April 2006 (UTC))

He is from Dhirana, which is in Himachal Pradesh, which is in Punjab region. You stated that he was from Dhirana, Punjab (India), which is wrong. McPhail 19:20, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
It is not wrong, it is on the LONGEST YARD website. TRY READING SOMETIME!!! ROCKMANX
He is from Dhirana, which is in Himachal Pradesh, which is in Punjab region. You stated that he was from Dhirana, Punjab (India), which is wrong. There are two Punjabs in India. Singh is from one; he is not from the other. McPhail 20:09, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I didn't state anything it's on the freaking webpage man. I just coping and pasting what's on there. Learn to read sometime. ROCKMANX
In this edit you incorrectly asserted that Singh was from "the village of Dhirana in Punjab (India)". This was wrong. You were wrong. I corrected you. McPhail 20:45, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
You are wrong, stop correcting me. McPhail - Direct Quote from Thelongestyard.com

"Unique in his giant-sized 7' 2" stance, wrestler DALIP SINGH commands attention amongst all people in every part of the world. He was born into a poor family in the village of Dhirana in Himachal Pradesh of Punjab, India and is the third of eight siblings. At a young age, he earned a daily wage as a roadside stone breaker to help provide for his family." ROCKMANX

The Longest Yard website is NOT that reliable of a source. - NightShade
I'm from Punjab you dumbass! The village Dhirana is in Punjab. I was just copying pasting what's on the longestyard.com. Himachal Pradesh is in the region of Punjab India. To not mention Punjab is wrong.

"Village of Dhirana in Himachal Pradesh of Punjab, India" "WWF Mania Grips 'Giant' Punjab Cop" STOP FREAKING EDITING IT, IT IS A STATED FACT. DAIVARI WENT ON TV AND SAID HE WAS FROM THE PUNJAB JUNGLES! STOP VANDALISING MCPHAIL!!!! RockmanX 05:04, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Punjab is a historical region, not an existing legal entity. Singh is from the village of Dhirana in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The "Punjab Cop" article refers to the state of Punjab, not the region of Punjab. Singh is from the state of Himachal Pradesh, but at some point relocated to the state of Punjab in order to work as a police officer. The fact that both Himachal Pradesh and Punjab lie within the greater Punjab region is irrelevant to this article. McPhail 18:19, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

In the name of compromise, I've edited the article to reflect the fact that he is from the greater Punjab region. McPhail 23:33, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

You're full of it. You're not from Punjab. And by the way, Kayfabe statements are NOT reliable sources of information. And Punjab is a legal entity. It is a state in India. Also a province in Pakistan. Punjab_(India) NightShade
That is a different Punjab. Singh is not from the state of Punjab, he is from the state of Himachal Pradesh. Kindly do some research before embarrasing yourself. McPhail 22:24, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
I never said he WAS. I was merely pointing out that Punjab IS a legal entity. Read correctly before you try to be witty, and embarass yourself NightShade 02:08, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
There is no differnt Punjab, Punjab is entire region in India, and Pakistan. RockmanX

The above is statement (the last one, as well as some others above) is/are incorrect. If one was to look at a map of India, Punjab is a province, which neighbors Himachal Pradesh to the east and Pakistan in the west. Take a look at the India article here in Wikipedia, it has a good map. Punjab is also in Pakistan, but it is refered to as West Punjab, and Punjab in India is referred to as East Punjab; but when one says Punjab, people think of India's Punjab. Perhaps people think that he is from Punjab due to his surname, which is common in Punjab, as well as his involvement with the police force. So I assume that he is 'billed from Himachal Pradesh' but I am somewhat new to Wikipedia and don't exactly know what 'billed from' is refering to. aliaze1

Singh's Height

He is taller than that. He's taller than the big show. He's about 7'2" and 389 lbs. And the Undertaker's hieght is 6'8" and 289 lbs

This is all purely speculative without credible sources. The media gives his height as anything from 7'0" to 7'3". McPhail 22:30, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
As far as I know, Undertaker wears 1 to 1.4 inch platforms. Singh seems to wear normal boots which give just about a rise of 0.3 to 0.5 inches. I'm pretty certain Singh is at least 7 feet, and at least as tall as Paul Wight, the Big Show. -- Ifrit 00:03, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I thought it looked like Singh might be wearing platforms too when he made his debut.( 84.65.10.61 17:03, 2 May 2006 (UTC))

The imdb page for Dalip has him at 7 ft 2 in. Where does the 7 ft 3 in height come from?( Halbared 13:35, 13 June 2006 (UTC))

famousheights.com also lists singh's height as 7'3" Well based on saturday nights main avent Dalip singh and the big show about the same hight

I missed it. So Dalip and TBS are the same height hhu?( Halbared 07:42, 20 July 2006 (UTC))

Singh is a legit 7'3, deal with it. ( Son of Kong 11:55 10 July 2006 (UTC))

At ECW on July 18, Singh had about an inch or two over the 7 foot Big Show.

Well, WWE-inflated figures aside, I remember seeing a scan of a MuscleMag article from the late '90s, giving his height at 6 ft 11½ in (2.12 m) and weight at 357 lb (162 kg). This was before his wrestling career, from his bodybuilder years. As a bodybuilder the biggest I've seen him at was 2.16 m (7 ft 1 in) and 165 kg (364 lb) – the weight sounds okay, but I doubt he grew another 4 cm in his late 20s; though with growth disorders all bets are off. Sorry for the lack of reference, but since the beginning of his wrestling career, these uninflated (or less inflated?) figures have bemoce very hard to find on the Web. Haven't seen him next to the Big Show yet myself, but wasn't Mr. Wight measured 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) at college? BTW, the unit conversions on his billed stats are slightly off: 7 ft 3 in=2.21 m and 420 lb is (just barely) closer to 191 kg than 190. -- Anshelm '77 00:59, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

How can he wear lifts? Khali has always wrestled barefoot, even when he wrestled tigers in the highly illegal Punjab Pit Fights.

Picture

I reverted the pic that used to be on his page back to the fair use image because I do not believe that RockmanX created that particular picture. The picture is actually from the Photos section of Dalip Singh's official WWE profile, and therefore is a copyrighted image that is not considered as fair use. Unless proof is shown that contradicts this claim, please do not revert pic. The Styles Clash 08:30, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Err, I made the pic dummy,

GFDL SELF-MADE If it was copyrighted then wikipedia would remove it automatically. Your not the mod here are you? I also made the other pic you were reverting back to as well. LOL! ROCKMANX

I somehow doubt you made the pic that is on there now since it is from his profile on WWE.com, and if it is indeed true that you actually made it, I want to see some proof and it should be cited on the image's page. I am aware that you "made" the other pic as well, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Wikipedia doesn't always automatically remove pics that are in copyright violation, but rather people can post what they find to be in violation here. The Styles Clash 08:15, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Leave the Pic alone, I made it stupid. YOU ARE NOT A MOD! I took a screen capture, and made it so bite me! If you take that pic down, you might as well take the other pic down as well, and make pictureless. I made all the pics for dalip singh!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! ROCKMANX

I will do just that, and I don't have to be a mod in order to spot copyright violations. You've been reported and I expect something will be done to resolve this situation. Have a good day. The Styles Clash 04:21, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

I removed pic due to possible copyright violation. The Styles Clash 01:22, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Question?

Where does it say about him competing in a Punjabi Prison Match?

Signature Moves

Hey everyone. Just a quick question: why was the Choke Bomb removed from Singh's "Finishing and Signature Moves" section? He seems to have been using it a lot since Judgement Day '06. The other ones look good, though. Just curious, thanks. ( ljacone)

Knee Injury

Rajah is horrible 72.178.110.53 05:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC) Why did someone delete the part I put on the page about his knee injury? Go to www.rajah.com & it'll have it there. Son of Kong

That rajah website is full of crap you dumbass. Go to a proper site like www.pwinsider.com

Rajah is a proper website you dumb fuck. Why don't you go home & tingle with your mother's balls.

Take it easy, there's no need for personal attacks from either of you. Night Bringer 22:36, 30th August 2006 (GMT +10)
Rajah is a crap website, I don't know why you keep quoting it everywhere, stop it, its all nonsense - Correctus 11:36, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

500 litres of milk a day?

What.. he drinks 500 litres of milk in a day? Obviously I'm missing something here... 24.80.236.235 02:53, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

It has to be a myth or vandalism, that is more than 125 gallons of milk. I'm changing it to 5. Hybrid 07:16, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

5 Gallons of milk is usually what he drinks after a match or a workout. 207.69.137.207 20:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Suspension

Someone needs to add a part about his suspension from the Punjab Police Department. Son of Kong

You do it. Hybrid

Well, I just did so everybody, please don't erase it. If you want proof that it's true, search through the articles on www.rajah.com & you'll see it somewhere. Son of Kong

- I added a few more words to it - Correctus 07:25, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

And I deleted it because it's not true. Don't add it again. Son of Kong

Here's the truth about Khali, the truth that the McMahon koolaid drinkers keep denying and deleting.

Singh is notorious for his anti-semitic views, and has committed numerous hate crimes while in the Punjab state police. He is rumored to have killed well over a hundred Jews with his deadly brain chop. He was only suspended, not fired, because Punjab officials feared that they themselves would end up BRAIN CHOPPED to death. 207.69.136.197 08:26, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

As if your crap website Rajah is all that there is to the truth, eh? I have sources for what I said as well, so shut up please - Correctus 05:54, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Screw you. Son of Kong

Shut the hell up Hybrid!!! Son of Kong

I can check page histories, I know you are not Kong, and I know you imitated Correctus down south. I'll see you banned for personal attacks and imitating other users. T H L 05:09, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Trivia point

Just with this point on the Trivia section :

He has travelled to India, and worked as a rock breaker, chipping rocks with a hammer as a job.

Not too sure about its authenticity. It was horribly worded before, so I edited it and formatted it correctly, but if someone wants to find a source for the information, go right ahead :) -- benzo ? ♠♠ 03:30, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

- He hasn't travelled TO India, he is from India, and your Trivia point is well explained in the main article itself - Correctus 07:25, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, Khali chipped rocks with a hammer when he started the job, but quickly found that the BRAIN CHOP was much more effective for rock chipping purposes. 207.69.136.197 08:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Protection

We should block the page from being edited by unregistered users or newly registered users like some other pages (i.e John Cena). Some jackass just put that Khali was 7'5 & put f-u after it. I edited it back to the way it was but the page needs protection. Son of Kong

Jackass?!?! But that's his real height. I'll see you banned for personal attacts and vandalism!!!

His condition

Did he ever get treated for his disease (gigantism)? Son of Kong

- There is no known cure for Gigantism - Correctus 07:23, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Never said that there was a cure for gigantism because there isn't. I said did he get treated for it which means did they take the tumor out. Son of Kong

- NO, you said that whether he got treated for Gigantism, and Gigantism has NO cure, so HOW THE HELL can he get treated... - Correctus 08:55, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

If you were smart, you'd know that what I really meant was did he get the surgery required to take out the tumor. Stop being the dumb cocksucker you are & pay attention you dumbass. Son of Kong

Both of you, stop it. Be civil at all times, this is just Wikipedia and there is no reason to get upset. I don't want to have to report anybody, but this talk page is pathetic. The people here cannot solve anything amongst themselves, and the people who could are to afraid to join in. For the good of this article, stop the crap. Hybrid 23:01, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

What Kong was saying is that Gigantism is always acompanied by a brain tumor. The tumor does not cause the disease, and the tumor is typically benign, but it keeps growing and putting pressure on the brain. Eventually it will put so much pressure on the area next to it that it kills the person suffering from the disease. In order for the person to survive, the tumor must be removed before it becomes to large and cannot be taken out without damaging the brain and killing the victim. Alright, now that we are clear on what Kong was asking, I believe that the tumor was removed, but I am not completely sure and have no sources for it; sorry I can't be of more help. Hybrid 05:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Who deleted my Trivia points?

Who deleted the Trivia points I put on the page? I know for a fact that its the idea of Son of Kong who is such a stupid person that he will do anything to try and declare to everyone that he is the official editor of the Dalip Singh page. All his stupid crappy points are made from a 100% biased stupid crap non-authority website Rajah.com. - Correctus 08:54, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm stupid yet you're putting things on a person's page that aren't true. And for a fact, I didn't delete your trivia points you asshole. They weren't true anyway so don't add them again. And lastly, I didn't declare myself the official editor of the page, I make sure any page here has the right information because a lot of people that aren't even registered users just put things on the page or just erase things off the page. Plus, Rajah is a proper site to get information because a lot of the things they post turn out to be true, in fact, they rarely post wrong information. Son of Kong

Both of you, stop it. Be civil at all times, this is just Wikipedia and there is no reason to get upset. I don't want to have to report anybody, but this talk page is pathetic. For once I agree with Kong. Shut the hell up and stay out of this.- Correctus

I know you are not Correctus; I can check page histories. I also know you imitated Kong up north. I'll see you banned for personal attacks and imitating other users. T H L 05:11, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
