hello, i have a comet fish. they live indoors. i am not sure if this is cruel. if it is please contact me.
-- I would imagine that this is only cruel if you are not keeping them in water :) I have comet goldfish in a rather small tank myself however they are but babies! When they are larger I would insist on putting them in a much much larger tank or outside depending on weather. Comets don't like getting very hot so I don't know how they hold up in summer months in an outside pond. SwordRaven 19:57, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
I have a question. Is there any effect on a ponds water and the comet goldfish when it rains?
-- Depends on the chemical make-up of the rain itself, if it is fairly acidic then in large amounts it may affect the fish. Generally however I don't think that there should be much in the way of problems. SwordRaven 19:58, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

The photo of a black comet goldfish looks more like a koi/goldfish hybrid. note the fins. Anyone else think it might be in error? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.65.160.126 ( talk) 05:02, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
