Can we move this article to Christianity in Afghanistan to be consistent with other articles about a single religion within a country?-- Sefringle 17:41, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
The number seems too inflated as there is no other source indicating such a high number. Scythian1 ( talk) 01:41, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Christian Humanitarian Activity Individual Christians and Christian organizations have provided significant charitable help to Afghans and Afghanistan. This is an important section to develop. It should not be a detailed list of every project. But should document major players and summarize results. Must be careful not to identify organizations as 'Christian' if the organization themself does not self identify as Christian, reports referring to living people must follow wiki guidelines. Note: this is not a section for documenting 'missionary' activity.
Afghan Christians Abroad Document the development of the church amongst Afghan citizens and decendants of Afghan citizens in free countries. As always concerns for safety and wikipedia policies for living people, no original research and verifiablity apply. Is this a helpful/necessary section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jawadbek ( talk • contribs) 10:20, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Notable Afghan Christians Most "Christianity in Some Country" pages have a section. "Notable Some Country Christians" Should we have this section for this page? My concerns are that it would be difficult to develop a referenced comprehensive list. I can only think of three names to put on the list. And it could be a risk that someone would put up names of living people who are not open about their Christianity, and therefore bring them into danger. Is this a helpful/necessary section?
Response to Christianity from the Muslim Majority Description of the response by civil authorities, para military groups (Taliban), and general public. Most of what could appear in this section has already been covered in the history section. Is this a helpful/necessary section?
Missionary Activity It is not recommended to include this section. Referencing statements would be difficult and it would be difficult to maintain Neutral Point of View. Also it could bring people into danger (including the danger of inciting protests).
What do you think about the above section suggestions? Do you have other suggestions for future sections? Jawadbek ( talk) 09:57, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Mark Stein quotes the [US State Department] as saying that the last Church in Afghanistan was razed in 2010. It would be nice to get details and a reliable source. Rwflammang ( talk) 17:34, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
I have added the incident. There are unlikely to be more details but the International Religious Freedom Report which Mark Stein cites is a very reliable source. ( Jawadbek ( talk) 09:48, 25 February 2012 (UTC))

This article is unreliable and makes no sense, Christianity never had any following in Afghanistan and this article makes vague references to the Parthian empire and Persian empire. Even if Christians had visited those empires there is no evidence presented in this article that they visited Afghanistan or preached there. Pre-Islamic Afghanistan was mainly Buddhist and Zoroastrian in practise and the first Abrahamic religion to reach the country was islam. There is no evidence of some bishop visiting the region and the Parthian empire is not synonymous with Afghanistan. Basically this article is some next level cope lol. 199.119.233.254 ( talk) 09:44, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
