I don't have any especially strong feelings on this, but I don't think there's any significant harm done by leaving out the fact that Lollar supported Romney. It's not an especially well-documented fact and not of great relevance to his career; and an editor has asserted that the subject would prefer it not be included.
WP:COI is of course an issue, and I've told the user in question that on their talk page, but the information seems neutral so there's no threat to
WP:NPOV. –

I don't see any reason to remove it. The editor claims that Lollar wants it removed, but there's no evidence of that. And even if there was, it doesn't violate
WP:BLP so why should it be?

Fair enough. I'm not determined that it be included or anything, I just think that with so little information in the article anyway, there didn't seem to be a good reason to remove it.
