The photo caption here says the statue is of Carr. The QEH article says it is just a bluecoat boy, which is what I had always thought. Surely a statue of Carr would show him as a rich old chap capable of endowing a school, not a strapping young Captain of Rugby type??? :)

Meh, I was always told it was John Carr, but I forgot to change this a few months back after Kev Meredith asked the school about it. My bad.
