Where in the film does it say that it is set in 1942? I don't recall that and the troops are all wearing the post-Stalingrad uniform, implying it is set no earlier than the summer of 1943. Regards, DMorpheus ( talk) 15:45, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't agree with the categorization. Nothing in the film particularly strikes me that way, and at the very end, the narrator proudly describes Alyosha as a solder, a Russian soldier. Clarityfiend ( talk) 21:04, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
