![]() | On 21 August 2022, it was proposed that this article be moved from Auðr (mythological character) to Auðr (mythology). The result of the discussion was moved. |
The result of the move request was: moved. This was moved due to the agreement in the discussion and the low controversy of the change. As I both proposed and moved, or if you think there is a better name, I encourage you to start another discussion, putting forward ideas.-- Ingwina ( talk) 05:49, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Auðr (mythological character) → Auðr (mythological figure) – "Figure" is to me more fitting, given the being's role in traditional material rather than fiction which is suggested by character. Mythology and folklore are not best described as fiction, regardless of one's views on their truth. This is consistent with other similar pages. Ingwina ( talk) 19:53, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
Could you give examples of a few other pages that use (mythological figure)? Fredlesaltique ( talk) 12:39, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
I agree that "character" is odd and figure might be better. What about just "Authr (mythology)"? That's what other pages seem to use, and it would be more concise: Andromeda (mythology), Hebe (mythology), Jupiter (mythology) Fredlesaltique ( talk) 20:47, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
@ Ingwina: is Auðr (mythology) good with you too? Fredlesaltique ( talk) 00:18, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
