Rasnaboy: That place is for the image of skyline of the city. Please do not put temple mosque images in infobox. Stop this subtle religious promotion, Edit warring will be reported.

I think you have misunderstood what I did. I just thought that the earlier image of a
UNESCO World Heritage site was much better than the image of a mundane street as a representative image of the district. Not sure how you hastily came to a conclusion that it was a "subtle religious promotion" from my part without even discussing with me anywhere earlier. :) No issues. Although such accusations may violate
WP:Civility, I absolutely understand that you're still learning the ropes in Wikipedia (just as I still do). As far as I understand, infoboxes are not just for skyline but for the most prominent landmarks in that city/district/state/country, etc. In the infobox of
Nagore, one can expect what the town is best known for—the
Nagore Dargah. What we normally expect in the infobox of
Mecca is the
Great Mosque, that of
Tirupati is the
Venkateswara Temple, and so forth. Incidentally, this may often be some religious structures. Neutrality doesn't mean blindly opposing religion (or seeing any such inclusion as "subtle promotion") but including things for what they are. I personally feel that the current image of the mundane street may, to some extent, represent the
Ariyalur Town, but it is not something to be considered as representing the
district as a whole. I have no issues with the removal of
Gangaikonda Cholapuram image but please try to find some equally good representative image for the district rather than an image of some not-so-good street. I can't think of an infobox of
Mahabalipuram with only an image of one of its street corner instead of the
UNESCO World Heritage monuments (even if it be a temple structure).

This article is about the district and not about Cholapuram. The infobox parameter clearly says Skyline. I dont consider the current image is bad. The current bus stand image gives a snapshot of the daily life in the district and is a good representative image for the district. Unless a better Skyline contender is uploaded, this is the best skyline image we have for Ariyalur. I have already checked for alternatives. I see that this temple's pic is being overused on Wikipedia. May be it was not your intention but I am seeing many users (Some IP users too) trying to add Temple pics everywhere like assembly constituency article. This is highly obnoxious I think. We should discuss other infobox in their respective article talk pages.

The lead text very much says that the district is home to the
Gangaikonda Cholapuram. Hence I thought the image should be there. Nothing otherwise. Let's not connect what some random IP users (often vandals) do with what genuine regular editors do. I fear this may not help us build the encyclopedia. When a district has a well-known site such as a World Heritage Site, it's better to include it in the infobox rather than some secondary images. Anyways, let's try to find a better one as you wish. I'm not reverting this but leave it to you. Thanks.
