In Talk:Exponential object, it is mentined that If Y is locally compact, then the apply map is continuous. See compact-open topology.. I suppose that curry is continuous as well ... so its yet another example of apply being continuous. linas ( talk) 07:16, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
The presence of what appear to be two lead sentences suggests that the accompanying article is about two disjoint classes of functions, that have some kind of isomorphism a the top level but are otherwise separate topics, and that it should be subdivided into say Apply (programming) and Apply (categories). If not, it probably should

I'm abt to remove the entry
on the Dab
Application (which is in many other ways wretched) bcz the word "application", when used once in the accompanying article, appears to be pretty much the dictdef inflection of "apply", and not anything one might consider spelling, say "Apply-cation", defined as something like "the effect that Apply has on its argument(s)": it seemed most likely to be, instead, just one more bit of wretchedness, and that no one would find a usage of "application" that would make the accompanying article
Apply helpful to them, other than by mere coincidence.
I'd be grateful if someone could agree or disagree on this talk page with that judgment of mine.
