Needs more references

This article needs to tell the reader why there are alternate truck routes in Pennsylvania rather than that they exist. I can see this article failing at AfD because it does not currently demonstrate notability. The answer to why there are alternate truck routes will probably be found in a PennDOT press release, but third-party coverage in a newspaper would be even better. – Fredddie 00:24, 24 February 2016 (UTC) reply

PROD declined, planned path forward

I understand the concerns of the person who added the PROD for this article, but before we delete this, we do need to move the information (as they suggested FIRST). Suggest a more nuanced approach, if we DO decide to enact that proposal, a selective merge and then deletion would work. Move the info FIRST, then renominate for PROD after all of that is done. -- Jayron 32 13:19, 10 February 2017 (UTC) reply

I don't see the need to do that as most of the information was copy and pasted from the individual route articles. Dough 4872 21:29, 10 February 2017 (UTC) reply
Let's ensure the information in this article is present in each of the individual route articles before we delete this article.  V 04:37, 11 February 2017 (UTC) reply
I agree with that. I am opening to deleting this if someone can go through and make sure we aren't losing any information... -- Jayron 32 16:29, 13 February 2017 (UTC) reply

Statement by AfD closing admin

To clarify what the templates on these two pages are trying to say, the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alternate truck routes in Pennsylvania requires that the individual sections of this article be merged into their appropriate parent highway articles. -- Kurykh ( talk) 04:53, 28 February 2017 (UTC) reply
