A knowledgable editor has finally discovered and fixed this article, thank goodness. Was the article's creation some kind of "breaching experiment"? I find it extraordinary that its creator claims to have seen and used the equivalent article on the French Wikipedia where the correct birth and death dates were given:
Yet they created this one with completely spurious year dates:
To avoid deletion, someone else had quickly pasted in a reference from the French Wikipedia published in 1881, thus providing a "reliable source" for an obvious untruth. The second editor didn't even notice that on the clearly stated date of the source's publication Royer would have been 5 years old. Good Grief! Voceditenore ( talk) 12:40, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
