... that this team never comes about? With Cleveland and now Tampa Bay out, at least for now, apparently the only other teams besides the Philadelphia Soul and this proposed new one are the Washington Valor and Baltimore Brigade, two new teams from last year both owned by D.C. sports entrepreneur
Ted Leonsis. Is there a chance that it can go on as two two-team groups? If they all were to play each other four times, that would make a 12-game schedule and with, say, two bye weeks, and everybody making the "playoffs", it could be padded out over 16 weeks, but, still ...

Pure non-encyclopedic speculation, but I personally give a less than 50% chance of a 2018 AFL season. The biggest issue other than current team and league financial issues and before they can even schedule, they have no CBA signed with the players union. No players, likely no season. But that is neither here nor there for this page per
WP:NOTFORUM, so please only discuss encyclopedic issues here.
