• Aerology is a term defined by the glossary of the American Meteorological Society see: http://glossary.ametsoc.org/wiki/Aerology The study of the free atmosphere throughout its vertical extent, as distinguished from studies confined to the layer of the atmosphere adjacent to the earth's surface.
• Aerology is used in other wikipedia projects
• Aerology is used at least in the historical literature
