Would it make sense to merge this page into Neural adaptation? -- Tryptofish ( talk) 20:33, 17 December 2012 (UTC) reply

I had completely forgotten about this (wow, a long time!) until it showed up on my watchlist just now. Looking again, I think this page is pretty awful and really should be merged. -- Tryptofish ( talk) 21:57, 14 August 2018 (UTC) reply
I agree, merge or redirect would be best. But even the neural adaptation article is a bit strange. I expected a discussion of spike rate adaptation, etc, but it seems to really be about sensory system adaptation from an integrative perspective. --{{u| Mark viking}} { Talk} 00:36, 15 August 2018 (UTC) reply
Would a merge to Synaptic fatigue be better, the second para of lead seems to cover this page.-- Iztwoz ( talk) 06:48, 14 December 2018 (UTC) reply
There's so much overlap here, with just differences in jargon for the page names. I think it might be best to merge both pages into Neural adaptation. -- Tryptofish ( talk) 21:02, 14 December 2018 (UTC) reply

I nominated this for deletion because I think this is a misunderstanding of the term "neuronal adaptation." The page cites no sources other than a textbook. Google finds exactly four hits for "neuronal acclimiti[sz]ation", and two of them are Naruto fan pages. The PubMed hits generally refer to neuronal changes accompanying heat or altitude acclimatization, not the phenomenon described here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.163.151.250 ( talk) 03:38, 2 July 2019 (UTC) reply
