one blue link per entry on dab pages, per MOS:DAB
I believe that in the first line there should be a wiki link to the "A Song of Ice and Fire".
The way I read the MOS:DAB guidelines, the first (introductory line) does NOT count as an entry. I quote:
"After the introductory line comes a list of individual entries – lines which direct the readers to Wikipedia articles on the various topics which might be referenced by the term being disambiguated"
and then of course it says:
"Each entry should have exactly one navigable (blue) link to efficiently guide readers to the most relevant article for that use of the ambiguous term"
So in my opinion the rule for one navigable link per entry does not apply for introductory lines and we can add a link to the "A Song of Ice and Fire".
<edit conflict>You're splitting hairs, and I think you know it. The introductory line is an entry, in this case for the primary use of the ambiguous term. The disambiguation guideline limiting the number of links per entry is intended to offer a user the single best destination for each use of the ambiguous term, and the policy assumes that users are looking for what they say they are looking for, and not something else. There are two likely avenues to this page: Through the article
A Game of Thrones, where a link to
A Song of Ice and Fire is available in the first sentence, or through a search result, in which case the assumption is, if they were searching for something called A Game of Thrones, that, and not something called A Song of Ice and Fire, is what they want. I see no compelling reason why this particular dab page requires an exception to the guideline.--

The reason I am not completely satisfied with this is that I had the impression (and other readers might have it too) that A game of thrones is the name of the series. So I arrived at this page actually looking for the series (which turned out to be called A Song of Ice and Fire). Taken that into account it would be nice to have a direct link to the series somewhere in the page. Please forgive me if this is not possible since I am only a beginner in Wikipedia but maybe this could be added under a See Also heading? Of course having a link in the Fellowship of the Ring linking to The Lord of the Rings would also be nice but these books are much more popular and most likely people know what they are looking for in the first place.

I'm surprised you got here looking for A Game of Thrones as that search takes me directly to the article on the book. To quote from
WP:MOSDAB
Disambiguation pages ("dab pages") are designed to help a reader find Wikipedia articles on different topics that could be referenced by the same search term, as described in the
Disambiguation guideline. Disambiguation pages are not articles; they are aids in searching.
This style guideline is intended to make the search more efficient, by giving disambiguation pages a consistent look and by avoiding distracting information. In brief, the pages should contain only disambiguation content, whether or not the page title contains the parenthetical (disambiguation).
It's about consistency, how well known the topic is does nor relevant.

I propose to de-disambiguate this page per
WP:DABCONCEPT. Specifically, upon close examination, it does not appear that the subjects listed on this page are in fact a completely unrelated group of things which coincidentally share a title.

It's missing the entries for the pre-IceandFire meanings. --
