The image Image:Paras.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

why does the wiki article on 4 para say this? As far as I can see, 4 para is not currently under the uksf (R) structure, according the the british army website.
Happy to be proved wrong by the wiki author of the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment page.
Thanks
Many thanks for the fast response. Under the Future reserves 2020 plans, with reserves forming 1/3 of the total military head count, it is entirely possible that 4 para is given greater roles incl uksf r. Fact is, and unfortunately in the broader scheme of things, while 4 para is skilled up to comparable levels to 2 and 3 para, 21 and 23 sas and other ta units are not relative to their regular counterpart units. See: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/9076527/Territorial-Army-not-fit-for-new-role-warn-Generals.html Therefore, to square the circle of expanding reserves' roles , while maintaining gelling , ensuring reserves asre fit for purpose, it may be the case that 4para and para reg as a whole is given enhansed roles.... beyond 1 para's sfsg role. Perhaps closer to US JSOC organisation. In the US para reg would certainly be part of the SF group. Anyway, as yet, today, para reg is not part of UKSF. Best, BrownViking007
I rewrote the history section to make it less 'scatter gun'. In doing so I borrowed from other pages, but what this page really needs is some referencing. Usedtoknowthat ( talk) 17:08, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
