In WW1 the 1st it. Army was responsable for the western area between the Swiss border and Asiago. Then followed the 4rth army (Dolomites), then the 2nd (defeated in Caporetto), then the 3rd (from Gorizia to the Adriatic Sea).
This info is good. Go ahead and add it to the article, assuming you have a source to cite for it. --
