I don't know how to Catagorize and Wikify this article. I am sure if I were to put this in a category, i would put it under Civil War units or organizations. I have reviewed the rules and don't see what I am doing wrong with the style. I have acted in Good Faith and am asking for help. I just started contributed to Wikipedia. Sorry for the inconvenience. During copyediting, I tagged a number of paragraphs with citation needed. It may very well be that these paragraphs were covered by the references listed, but it was not clear to me and I don't have access to The Union Army. So, apologies if the tagged paragraphs are covered by the existing cites. If that's the case, please remove the {{ Fact}}s and add any citations as needed. Greetings, The first paragraph contains a questionable statement, seeming to confuse a couple of events during the last week of the war. The article states the 118th Penn Volunteer regiment "escorted the truce flag of Robert E. Lee at the battle of Five Forks."
A couple of things - Lee was not present at Five Forks, nor was there any truce flag. The Confederate forces under Geo. Picket and Rooney Lee (also Thomases Munford and Rosser) were essentially routed from their positions into precipitous retreat or captured.
Also, the only truce flag that Lee (ever?) displayed was at Appomattox and it may have been there that elements of the regiment were involved in escorting it to a general officer on the Union side (but I do not know that for sure).
