Hauberg, Haljak, Lagerqvist, and Fridh & Jonsson all identify silver coinage of Visby, Gotland as ortugs as early as 1320. Many similar coins of Visby back to the 1120s are now commonly referred to as ortugs in the literature, though this may be anachronistic. The external links are dead, and there is no source cited for the 1370 date in the article. — Preceding
