m National Hockey League 17:32+4
1995hootalkcontribs (Corrected punctuation errors (missing apostrophe in a possessive; violation of
MOS:DATECOMMA when someone failed to include the comma after the year); fixed singular/plural disagreement ("Arizona Coyotes" is plural, so "its" is incorrect).)

1995hootalkcontribs (→Teams: previous edit contained two typos. I am not sure the previous editor's characterization of the Coyotes/Utah situation is entirely accurate from a legal standpoint, although from a practical layman's standpoint it surely is. I'll let someone else decide on that—I'm just cleaning up typos. (I'm not sure beginning a sentence with the word "This" is really a good idea, but every time I try to rephrase it I wind up with more of a mess, so I gave up.))

Wiki for godottalkcontribs (For all intents and purposes, the Coyotes relocated, with any 'reactivation' taking the form of an expansion team that simply inherits the history and IP of the old team - if the reactivation actually ever happens. There are 32 teams and one possible expansion team which has a right to join the league but might not. Not worth keeping the figure at 33)Tags: Mobile editMobile web edit

Guy Harristalkcontribs (→Microsoft Windows: And here's the *core* "get the system time" call, which is the Windows equivalent of gettimeofday(), in that it returns a "time units since the Epoch" value, from which all the year/month/day/hour/minute/second values are derived. (I've no idea why it took them until NT 3.5 to make it available in NT.))

Guy Harristalkcontribs (→Microsoft Windows: GetSystemTime() dates back well before W2K. (Just because learn.microsoft.com doesn't give pre-W2K information, that doesn't mean that the API in question was introduced in W2K; they claim that the minimum supported OS version for CreateFile() is WXP, which is definitely *not* true.))

Guy Harristalkcontribs (→Perl: Call it the
IANA time zone database, as we do elsewhere. Speak of "entries", as there are more entries than there are "time zones", as different locations in the same "time zone" may have different daylight saving time rules, for example.)

Guy Harristalkcontribs (→Unix: Speak of
Unix time rather than "time_t format". If that's not the way system time is kept, the system isn't Unix-like. Conversion to local time takes into account the time zone *and* daylight saving time rules*. The default, on a Unix-like system, isn't UTC, it's the time zone and daylight saving time information set up at configuration time.)
