→Dialects: I have no idea if Yiddish was in use in what today is Baden-Württemberg, but the paragraph, as it stands now, mentions it within the context of a “Gaunersprache”. I believe this to be highly anti-Semitic and also discriminating Sinti and Roma people as “Gauner”. I therefore shortened the sentence but kept the references.

The Sobriquet can be found in local Alemannic and Franconian dialects and refers to the whole state as references state. Added another reference … can’t get more official than “Duden”.

→Dialects: The Term “Electoral Palatinate” is just as historically correct as its German equivalent “Kurfürstentum (von) der Pfalz”, however the term “Kurpfalz” is to this day still in use to describe this specific area in the north of Baden, most of its inhabitants are likely to refer to themselves as “Kurpfälzer”.
