Selenipedium dodsonii is a species of flowering plant in the orchid family native to Ecuador, [2] where it grows near rivers in rainforest. [1] It was first described in 2015, [3] and is named after Calaway Dodson. Selenipedium dodsonii is an endangered species, [1] and is listed in Annex II to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). [4] Plants grow up to 3 m (9.8 ft) tall, and between April and November produce small flowers. [5]
